In addition to serving as a meeting room for 200, the Lynden Community/Senior Center provides a place and environment for seniors to experience great food, friendship and fun. Its main intent is to provide seniors with opportunities to continue in a physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays for special events and activities like the community breakfasts.

Nutritional meals are available to anyone 60 or older for a suggested donation of $3.00 to $5.50. Meals are cooked and served on site at 12 noon daily. Home-delivered meals are available daily as well. The Center has many outdoor and indoor activities, a gift shop of handmade items by seniors, a new health facility offering brand new workout equipment, and many other programs and fun activities. Center Manager Judith VanBrocklin invites newcomers to stop for coffee and to have a look around. Alice Fairall is Office Manager, and Mary Chenoweth is Activity and Program Director.

The Lynden Community Center is located at 401 Grover Street and the phone number is (360) 354-4501. For more information visit the Lynden Community Center website at www.lyndencommunitycenter.org.
