Whether you want to play all day or explore the health benefits of an afternoon nap Lynden is the place for you. Lynden's Dutch heritage is evident throughout the community. Windmills that grace both the Fairway Shopping Center and the historic Downtown area are connected by the beautiful tunnel of trees lining Front Street. Every year, the community comes together for the Lynden Hertiage Celebration, bringing together Dutch Klompen Dancers along with the Agriculture community and those who support them with a parade, International Dance Festival and a Dutch Open AIr Market . In July things get "berry" interesting with world renowned Raspberry Festival. As the largest raspberry growing region in August can only mean one thing in Lynden, it's time for the annual week long Northwest Washington Fair . Over 200,000 visitors come to see chickens, pigs, cows and other farm friends along with fair food, special deals from area retailers and grade A Entertainment. December our thoughts turn to the holidays and the wildly popular Lighted Christmas Parade in December. Starting in the afternnon with a visit from Sinterklaas, the Dutch Santa Claus, children of all ages are entertained and mesmerized by a visit from Sinter and his helpers. Once the sun goes down watch the smiles light up as trucks, tractors, wagons and everything else is decorated with millions of lights to usher in Christmas. Join us for what many consider to be a annual event that is not to be missed!
With so much to do, we'll understand if you want to take some time for that afternoon nap. |

Named after local grower and community supporter Curt Maberry, you had best bring your A - game and register early if you wish to get into this battle in the streets. We even drop the hoops and invite the little folks to play in the Rookie Razz 3 on 3 for those 5 to 8 years old. The Razz & Shine Car Show under the trees, The Razz & Jazz stage bringing the soulful sounds to the downtown, food, merchandise and the always popular Raspberry and Ice Cream fundraiser round out this truly unforgettable summer event.
Outdoor recreation enthusiasts have an abundance of choices. Lynden's parks and flat terrain are ideal for bicyclists looking for an easy going ride.
